Geysir

An old post from our time in Iceland that never published.  Here it is...
The 4th stop on the Golden Circle tour was to the Geysir (that's how they spell it). We got some dramatic video of the geysir shooting in the air, but here is a picture. By the way, Icelanders believe that there are trolls beneath the earth that are responsible for blowing the water out of the hole!

Skills Camp Wednesday

Our 1-day skills camp starts bright and early Wednesday morning.  We are looking forward to a great day, working with great kids, preparing them for a great 2012 season and maybe finding some great future Vikings.  There is a theme at Augustana; Greatness!

38,000 Feet Over Greenland

Here are a couple shots of the eastern ans western shores of Greenland as we flew over at 38,000 feet.

Day at the Blue Lagoon

Before we left for home, the team stopped at the world famous Blue Lagoon. The lagoon is a pool made in a lava field and filled with runoff from one of the geothermal power plants and filled with a clay that is a natural exfoliant.

Last day of our journey

Today is the last day of our trip. Before we get on the plane back to the states we are going to the Blue Lagoon. Great cap off to a great trip. pics to follow.

Departure Day

We are heading home today, and everyone is ready for it. Before we leave though, we will be stopping at the Blue Lagoon for a soak.
