U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A...

The team is back in the states and arrived in Minneapolis, MN safe and sound. No issues from the traveling, other than one of the guys got hung up at security in Reykjavik and got his bag checked. Those x-ray scanners pick up everything...

38,000 Feet Over Greenland

Here are a couple shots of the eastern ans western shores of Greenland as we flew over at 38,000 feet.

Day at the Blue Lagoon

Before we left for home, the team stopped at the world famous Blue Lagoon. The lagoon is a pool made in a lava field and filled with runoff from one of the geothermal power plants and filled with a clay that is a natural exfoliant.

Last day of our journey

Today is the last day of our trip. Before we get on the plane back to the states we are going to the Blue Lagoon. Great cap off to a great trip. pics to follow.

Departure Day

We are heading home today, and everyone is ready for it. Before we leave though, we will be stopping at the Blue Lagoon for a soak.

Iceland tour

Today we toured Iceland, we hit about six different spots today. Here are some pics more to follow. Til then #FightOn!

Early Parliament Site

Our 5th stop on the Golden Circle tour was to the site if the early parliament of Iceland. It is spelled in Icelandic, so I am unable to spell it for you. It was moved in the late 1700's as it sits right on a fault line and there was an earthquake that threatened the site. What was left were fissures in the ground filled with deep glacial water that takes 50 years to travel from the glacier to that point. Some of the guys went swimming in the 36 degree water.

Gullfoss Falls

3rd stop on the Golden Circle tour was.the largest falls in Europe, Gullfoss. Got a great team picture down by the falls with the canyon in the background.

Kerid Crater

2nd stop on Golden Circle tour was the Kerid crater, formed by a.volcanic eruption 6500 years ago. Some of the guys took a swim in the crater.

Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant

First stop on Golden Circle tour was to the geothermal power plant. Here they tap the heat underground to supply heat, hot water & power for Reykjavik.

Happy Birthday Noah

Noah Huisman is celebrating his 22nd birthday here in Reyjkavik, Iceland. Probably will be a birthday he will never forget, as we are about to leave for the Golden Circle tour of Iceland.

I know you have already heard about our soccer match. Here are the pics.

Viking Cup

A group of 10 players & coaches went to play a little soccer at the the training ground of the Icelandic National Soccer team. While playing a pickup game of 5 on 5, a division 3 club team asked to scrimmage us. It was an epic experience and one that will not soon be forgotten. Final score was a 6-3 loss, but the Augustana Vikings were led by Josh Hanson's 2 goals. Pictures to come soon.

Last Team Dinner in Norway

We had a meal of salmon in wine sauce, potatoes, and apple pie with ice cream for dessert. Best meal since we've been here. If you ever make it to Bergen, you must eat at Bryggeloftet & Stuene.

Bergen pics

With the morning free to travel and explore a group about ten joined up to walk around Bergen. Here are some pics from todays journey.

Pics from yesterdays travels

What a crazy day! Yesterday we took a few trains, couple busses, a boat, and a bullet train, to go from Oslo to Bergen. Here are the pics from yesterday.  #FightOn!

Not a Viking

Not a Viking, but a slug.

Bergen Bryggen

Here is a panaramic shot of the world famous Bergen Bryggen. Bryggen means "The Wharf" in Norwegian, and is the site of the very first buildings in Bergen.
